Maybe the beach isn't what you are about, but it is one of the places in this world that I love. Whatever you are about, let me help you create the life that will allow you to have and do what you love. I've been told that no one will come to my website and want to read a lot of words, especially about who I am. Well, I disagree obviously. If I am looking to work with someone to help me with my life I would like to know a little bit about their life.
Let me tell you my story.
Back in the 70s (yes the 1970s!) I was a high school student in Central Pennsylvania intent on going to college to be a music teacher. Needless to say that is one dream that thankfully stayed just a dream. After my first marriage ended I did go to college and received my first degree in Computer Information Systems. Whew! I spend many years in the computer field as a Customer Support Representative and then Manager for a Software House, a programmer very briefly, a PC Training Coordinator, then Network Administrator for a major cereal manufacturer (Cap'n Crunch was my boss) and then an IS Manager for an orange juice facility in Central Florida.
Along the way, I remarried, had two daughters, graduated from massage school in Baltimore, MD and moved to Florida. After moving to Florida within 2 years I had lost my job due to the company I worked for being sold and subsequent downsizing and reorganizing of the IS department to the new corporate headquarters. So after years of working in the computer field I was left without a job and a not very attractive severance package to boot! Since my MIS degree came with a lot of training in Accounting, I was able to get a job as a bookkeeper. While there, I also decided to work on my Massage Therapy License in the state of Florida, which I was able to accomplish and was soon not only working as a therapist as well as doing my bookkeeping job but started teaching at a local private college. At the same time that I became an instructor and then head of the Massage Therapy program I also opened my own Massage Office with a friend of mine in Debary Florida. During this same time I met Mike Dooley.
Let me digress for just one moment. I love books. I love to read. My daughters love to read. Not so much my youngest back then but she does now! Have I told you that I have two beautiful daughters? Both college graduates!? So back to my story, my daughters and I walked into a bookstore in Sanford, Florida and this gentleman named Mike Dooley was there promoting his little book, Notes from the Universe. Now I say little book because it was just a small book with sayings by Mike but billed as Notes from the Universe, or whatever name you use for God, that which is bigger than all of us but somehow connected to all of us. Suffice it to say that that little book sparked something in me. In fact I felt connected to those sayings as I started reading them. I had Mike sign the book and I purchased it with some others not knowing the connection that would come back to me years later.
As I read through those pages, they resonated with me and then I turned to the page that apparently had connected with me earlier in a different place. As I read the page, I realized that I was reading a note whose one portion was on the key chain that I had purchased in Hawaii! The company that Mike had originally started had produced key chains and cups, etc. and it was one of those that had caught my eye in a gift shop on the island of Oahu. I started doing my research. I signed up for his Daily "Notes from the Universe" on his website, tut.com. In ordered the audio program, Infinite Possibilities, The Art of Living Your Dreams back when it was on cassettes! I became immersed in TUT. Now, understand, I have also read Dr. Wayne Dyer (love him, by the way) and even attended one of his talks back in PA. I have the Tony Robbins tapes and I've read The Law of Success by Napoleon Hill. I'm a massage therapist and I teach the Chakras and am a Reiki Master and teacher. I started walking the walk and talking the talk. In my classes they started hearing a lot about Infinite Possibilities and Thoughts become Things.
Fast forward to June 2012. When I found out that Mike was going to train people to be Infinite Possibilities Trainers in Orlando I knew that I had to be there. For heavens sake I was already doing this in my current Professional Development classes at the school I was teaching at! But of course we no longer lived in Florida! Oh, I forgot to tell you that we had to move back to Pennsylvania. My husband's work required him to move back to PA in order to continue to be employed. I tried to tell him that I would miss him, but he wasn't having any of it, so back we came to the cold and snowy north. (But actually my long term dream of a cabin on the mountain was actually about to come to fruition as I originally typed this page! - more about that later). ANY HOW, I now have to travel to Florida to see Mike again and become an Infinite Possibilities Trainer. Actually a Trailblazer now since I have presented this to actually countless students in the course of my teaching career and the fact that my daughters have had to listen to it ad nauseam.
After my training, I began to "think" about how I could use this to help others and also create a life and career for myself beyond my teaching, massage practice and the bookkeeping that I still continue to do. I first thought about counseling and then about coaching since this has been so much of a life changing thing for me. Forgetting my own training I spent a long time doubting myself and limiting myself due to long held beliefs I still had. But now I tell you my story knowing that I can be the Coach that you need to Create A New Life. One that you are in control and that is what you want out of life. As a former instructor of mine once challenged, "Where do you want to live on the planet?"
